First of all, rest assured that you don’t need to be a physicist to start vaping; I will explain it in a few words. Before diving into the laws of physics, let’s start from the beginning.
How does an electronic cigarette work?
It is often said that the simplest inventions work the best, and the electronic cigarette confirms this proverb.

Contrary to customers’ first impressions, it is a very simple principle that allows the electronic cigarette to function! In fact, there is so much equipment for so many different profiles that you could get lost, but the system is almost always the same, and only the final feeling varies!
In summary, we can say that the vapor released by an electronic cigarette comes from the e-liquid, which evaporates under the influence of heat. If you want to press the “fire” button on your battery, it will send energy to the tank, which contains a coil. It is made of a metal wire in contact with cotton. When in use, it is the wire that heats up, and at the same time, the cotton is around the wire. The liquid-soaked cotton is transformed into vapor under the influence of heat and is inhaled into the mouth. QED!

Now let’s go into a bit more detail.
And for that, it is easier to start with the famous Ohm’s law.
Don’t worry if the 2nd grade physics class is far behind; you will understand everything…
If you know that Ohm’s law should allow you to find the best performance for your electronic cigarette and avoid the unpleasant taste of having burned your coil.
The famous Ohm’s law: U = RI
- “U” is the voltage of your battery (in volts: V)
- “R” is the resistance of the clearomizer (in ohms: Ω)
- “I” is the current flowing through your resistance (in amperes: A)
- And we add “W,” which is the power of your cigarette in watts for a second known equation P = *I. The flow rate acting directly on the temperature of the resistance
You combine the 2 and you get: P=U²/R
What does this mean for my vaping experience?
Every vaper is different, looking for a feeling that is the most pleasant. And for that, you will play with the power of your cigarette. The higher your power, the stronger your throat hit, which is called a “hit,” but you will also have much more vapor. And to increase the power, you need to adjust the resistance.
For all resistances, there are “power ranges” that must be respected so that the electronic cigarette provides the right intensity without damaging the resistance to prevent it from failing.
In conclusion, the higher the OHM of the resistance, the lower the power due to the formula P=U²/R
Since I like to say more, it’s a strong month, it is strong.
Example: A 1-ohm resistance can vape from 10 to 15 watts. A 0.12-ohm resistance can vape up to 120 watts.
MY EXPERT ADVICE

My expert look will therefore advise you to stick to the performance indicated on your resistances (at best). If you want a “big” vape, you need to adjust your resistances and have the electronic cigarette that suits you best.
I also advise vaping with a bit more power, which allows for a throat sensation and avoids delivering too much nicotine.
If you vape at 15 watts to have a low throat sensation, we will see 12 mg of nicotine more, while if you have a vape above 50 watts, the throat hit is so present in 3 or 6 mg of nicotine that it will give you the same feeling. The goal of vaping is always to move as far away from nicotine as possible.
The voltage coming out of this vape body is quite easy; I will do so without fear.
